Chapter 2 part2

Well, the second phase of the sixth sense training is visual training. [Psychokinetic Vision]! I want to accomplish this. If I can do this I\'ll be able to \'see\' not only behind me, I can also extend the range infinitely. Humans depend on sight for up to 80% of their external information acquisition. If I use [Psychokinetic Vision], in addition to 100% of the usual five senses, 80% due to visual attention is added; for a total of 180% (ack, math). But that\'s not an extraordinary calculation. Although it\'s not right behind me, I can remain in Japan while sightseeing in Brazil. Natural clairvoyance.

I was at a loss as to how to train. To be honest, I didn\'t have much to do. There\'s no need for vision and psychokinesis to be unrelated, since the range of my psychokinesis depends on my vision. There must be some relationship between psychokinesis and vision. But I’m not sure what. So I decided to use what I know, rather than what I don\'t, to stretch the range of my psychokinesis.

Psychokinesis can only be activated within the visual range. If you are too far away to see well or if your target is behind cloudy glass, the accuracy drops, and you can\'t activate it in a place that is completely out of view such as beyond the horizon or behind walls. Until now I wasn\'t trying to extend the range limit. Therefore, I tried to extend the range limit.

It was easy.

I bought a telescope.

I looked into the distance with the telescope. I activated my psychokinesis at the place I saw. That’s all!

It was fine if I couldn\'t activate my psychokinesis in the place I saw through the telescope. It was still valuable data. But using my psychokinesis through the telescope was a big breakthrough. There\'s a possibility that I could even use my psychokinesis on the moon if I use an astronomical telescope.

I told the clerk at the home center that I was going to buy a telescope, so they let me test them. Then I found out that using a telescope can also use psychokinesis, so I bought it immediately. Spending 39800 yen hurts, but it\'s worth it.

About one hour before going to class everyday, I went out on the veranda and watched the branches of the trees in the mountain sway through the telescope while using psychokinesis. There was also a strange feeling that had never existed before. When I tried to use psychokinesis through the telescope, there was a distinctive discomfort that made me feel like I was wearing strong glasses. From my past experiences, this is a good sign. If I start feeling stiff or if I "feel the load", it\'s a sign that my powers are experiencing growth. Growth comes from feeling discomfort, becoming accustomed to it, and eventually overcoming the discomfort. In fact, the first day I was attacked by dizziness and a headache at the lowest magnification, but I got used to it after about 5 days, and the range of my psychokinesis without the telescope had also increased.

The police came one week after I started training, "We received a report saying that there is a person suspected of peeping living here …" so I desperately made up the excuse that I was bird watching. I almost wet myself!

The telescope training was extremely effective, and the extension of the range of my psychokinesis grew steadily. First, it was possible to vaguely recognize far away objects that are out of sight by sensing their characteristics with my psychokinesis. Even if it was far too far to see well, somehow, there was an image that there is something like \'weight\' to it. I focus my psychokinesis on this image in order to activate it.

It’s ‘weight’. I can use psychokinesis for ‘weight’. Weight, which is tactile, was linked to [Psychokinetic Vision]. It was the result of doing [Nenrikin] load training. The range gradually grew little by little, and it was almost two months later that I could use my powers also for things outside of my sight. However, the accuracy drops considerably. I can only accurately sense the weight of things nearby. Such a vague use is no good. It\'s limited to simple elementary applications, I can\'t make a film or float it in the air; and I can\'t stop it, push it or pull it.

But this is a major breakthrough. Because I can now use my psychokinesis through walls. With this, it\'s possible to strike a criminal who\'s holed themselves up in a \'fortress\' with invisible power from the outside of the \'fortress\'. Probably. But you would have to know the criminal\'s weight, otherwise it\'s impossible to target them without seeing them.

Using my psychokinesis to sense invisible, hidden, or far away things produces a feeling that is somewhat similar to the feeling of narrowing your eyes to see further. By concentrating ⎯ that is, by focusing my awareness ⎯ it\'s possible to easily perceive distant things. Once I memorized that feeling, I repeated it. Growth of my abilities is only accomplished through repetition.

Further, even further. Initially my psychokinesis only reached 300 meters. When I use the remembered feeling with a double magnification telescope, I can stretch my abilities ahead by 600 meters. Next, I\'ll try to accomplish this without a telescope; I\'ll use my psychokinesis to try and perceive a \'weight\' 600 meters away. If that doesn\'t work, I\'ll once again develop the ability with a double magnification telescope. Once I become accustomed to 600 meters, I\'ll then try three times the magnification and memorize the feeling of using my psychokinesis at 900 meters ahead. Then repeat.

The maximum magnification of the telescope I bought is 150 times. I increased the magnification gradually and got used to it, and in half a year I got a range that\'s 45 km long (300 m × 150 times magnification). I can now capture someone with my powers even if they manage to get a full marathon\'s distance away from me. Well, since my powers can only target things by weight, it actually doesn\'t work that well.Since in half a year I became accustomed to range extension training itself, I can now try to extend the range even without relying on the \'training wheels\' of a telescope.
