金发美眉的野心

Chapter 127 Gojira

When Jake went down the mountain to meet Myriad Arrows, he was met with quite the pissed off man.

"What were you thinking? We worked so hard to get that haul ready, and you came to this dangerous place, all on your own? What are you, drunk?!" Myriad Arrows shouted.

Jake was silent. His curiosity got the best of him this time, so he just had to go up and see for himself. Luckily, that didn\'t backfire.

"Alright. Now that you are done with that, let us get to what we have to do now. The quest. It is an official quest, so there is a guaranteed exit from this place as long as we deliver the computer by the time the secret realm closes down." Jake said.

"Fine. Where is the computer located?" Myriad Arrows asked.

"Do you remember when we saw a huge monster? One that looks like Gojira from the movies? It is in its territory." Jake sighed and said.

When he corroborated the map with his memory, he realized why he never went that side. The one time they got even remotely close there, they saw a huge beast tower over them, and that beast looked exactly like Gojira.

A dinosaur that stood tall at a hundred meters! That was terrifying! Which monster was possibly that tall and that big? It had three rows of leaf shaped dorsal fins running through its pale gray back.

And its eyes, its eyes were terrifying. When it looked at the distance, it was like it was looking at them in the distance. Jake and Myriad Arrows quickly ran away, as they didnt want to spend anymore time in this terrifying giant\'s territory.

But it looked like to get out of this place alive with all of their items, they would have to risk it all and try to use all of their cards.

"We are going to have to us all of the meat we have to carve out a path of confrontation between the Gojira and the two mates of the dinosaurs we made fight each other a few days ago." Jake said.

"Looks like that work is all finally being put to good use." Myriad Arrows nodded and said.

"We wasted too much time already trying to find an exit. Now that we did find that exit, as long as we have the computer in hand, we can try and work on getting a little more loot and then we will get the hell out of here the moment it turns dark." Jake said.

"So that we will not be confronting an awake boss monster of the real forest?" Myriad Arrows asked.

"Right on. Well, we digress too much. What is the plan? You work on setting the trap while I case the joint to see if I have eyes on the computer? I have the locator, so only I can find it." Jake said.

"That sound good. I will start laying down the meat in closed baskets in the borders of the big territories so that none of the dinosaurs go near them anyway." Myriad Arrows nodded.

That was what they planned on doing from the beginning. The intersections of two territories were dead zones. No dinosaur dared to enter the territory of a big dinosaur, and the two big dinosaurs themselves did not meet there because they didn\'t want to battle to the death every day.

And so, the plan was to lay the cooked meat there, and when the time came, draw the two dinosaurs to the borders somehow.

Because they left the same meat in the caves for them to find, the dinosaurs would think that this was the person who had killed their children.

And so, they would go to where the meat led without hesitation.

This was all theory though, and the only instance the meat worked was when the dinosaur chased it when Jake put it as a diversion to run from the cave itself.

But he wasn\'t sure if the dinosaurs would have an extended memory. He wasn\'t sure how the dinosaurs were programmed, but he was just hoping that all of this would work out. He had prepared too much for this not to work out.

They nodded and split up. It was lucky for them that it was the middle of the night. Smaller dinosaurs might have had to adjust to nocturnal clocks to survive better, but all of the big dinosaurs were asleep at this time.

They had the confidence that only the big dinosaurs could actually damage them. The others would barely scratch their tough hides.

What the two dinosaurs that Jake was trying to bait here accomplished, were that they would be distractions. Distractions so that the Gojira wouldn\'t be focusing on them, who would quickly go in and out.

Jake looked at the map. He was going around the mountain, careful to go up the right caves slowly and quietly so that no one could hear him.

He had passed through the territories of so many monsters, and an hour later, he was near the territory of the Gojira.

Unlike many strong monsters, the Gojira didn\'t have its own cave.

If it wanted to, then it would only take a little effort for it to either kill or thrash out the inhabitants of the existing caves.

But the Gojira didn\'t do that.

It didn\'t need the cave. It wouldn\'t fit in one anyways. So it chose to sleep on the ground, underneath a few giant trees that provided a good cover.

Jake knew that this was the top of the food chain, the very top, but there was another monster that was as strong as it was. That was why Jake ruled it from the boss contention. There was no way there were two bosses in here.

In a few minutes, Jake laid his eyes on the Gojira and shuddered. This was as close as he had ever gotten, and he saw a terrifying stat that he couldn\'t before. The HP bar.
